You can reserve online at maslot.ca, by phone at one of our two branches, or at the counter in Baie-Saint-Paul or La Malbaie. Online booking takes two minutes and shows current daily, weekly, and monthly rates.
Yes, we deliver across Charlevoix: Baie-Saint-Paul, La Malbaie, Clermont, Les Éboulements, Saint-Urbain, L'Isle-aux-Coudres, Saint-Hilarion, and surrounding areas. Ask for the delivery quote when booking. Pickup at the counter is always free.
The minimum is one day (4 hours for some small tools). Weekly and monthly rates quickly become better deals on longer jobs: a week is usually three to four times the daily rate, and a month is about two and a half weeks.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Interac debit, and cash. Contractors with a commercial account can be billed net 30.
Yes, a credit card deposit is required for most equipment. The amount depends on the tool's value and is released as soon as the equipment is returned in good condition. No deposit for clients with an active commercial account.
Equipment leaves the yard with a full tank. Return it full. If it comes back below full, we charge for the missing fuel plus a service fee. It's almost always cheaper to refuel yourself before returning it.
An optional damage protection plan is available for a small percentage of the rental rate. It covers accidental damage during the rental. Without it, you're responsible for the full repair cost. Your business insurance may already cover rented equipment: check with your broker.
Call your nearest branch right away. If the breakdown is from normal wear or a mechanical issue, we replace the equipment at no charge. If it's from misuse, repair costs apply. All our equipment is inspected before every rental to limit surprises.
Yes, no problem. Call before the end of your rental to confirm availability and we'll update your contract. Extend before the scheduled return time to avoid late fees.
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the start of the rental are free. Within 24 hours, a one-day rental fee may apply, especially for larger equipment booked in advance. For confirmed deliveries, the delivery charge still applies.
Yes. Contractors, subcontractors, and municipalities can open a commercial account with net 30 billing. Fill out the account application online or visit us at the counter. Approval usually takes two to three business days.
No, our rentals are operator-not-included. You need the required certifications for the equipment you rent (for example, CCQ certification for aerial lifts and forklifts). For one-time needs with an operator, we can refer you to trusted local contractors.
At pickup, we walk you through how each piece of equipment works and the safety guidelines at no charge. For formal certifications (aerial lifts, forklifts), see an accredited trainer. Our counter teams know the machinery and answer technical questions by phone if you're stuck on a job.
Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon, closed Sunday. Both branches keep the same hours. For after-hours emergencies, leave a message at 418-435-6161 and we'll return your call as soon as possible.
Both branches share the same core fleet, the same team, and the same rates. Baie-Saint-Paul (head office, 1090 Boulevard Mgr. de Laval) serves the western Charlevoix region. La Malbaie (1455 Boulevard de Comporté, formerly Lou-Tec La Malbaie) serves the eastern region. Pick whichever is closer to your job site. If the tool you want is at the other branch, we transfer it, usually same day.
